Cody Coyotee Howard

My name is Cody Coyotee Howard, and yes, that is my real full name. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas in Horticulture Science, followed by a 5-year gap year at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California. There, I served as Conservation Technician, which involved cataloging plants found in the Desert Garden/Collection, managing the tissue culture lab, and traveling to amazing places to sample and document the plants of those regions. During my time at the Huntington I was introduced to Ledebouria (Scilloideae) and quickly became fascinated by their unexplored evolutionary history. I then joined the Cellinese Lab at the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida as a Ph.D. student, and there began my obsession with geophytes. Now, I can't seem to stop digging up plants to see what they're hiding belowground.
